Terms of Service

Effective 6 September 2026

Fair terms for a fair platform.

By creating an account or using MockMaster (the “Service”) you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree, please stop using the Service.

Plain-language summary

Practice honestly, respect the platform, all payments are final, use at your own risk. Detailed clauses below.

1. Who we are

MockMaster is operated by an independent Indian creator (Ashu Gupta) with no parent company and no external investors. All decisions, code, curation and customer support are handled by a solo founder. This keeps overheads low and lets us offer a permanent free tier for students.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate details at sign-up. You are responsible for keeping your password safe. You may not create multiple accounts to evade our free-tier daily limits, plan device limits or contest fair-play rules. Sharing paid accounts across households is fine (that's what the “Squad Sikandar” plan is for); commercial resale is not.

3. Acceptable use

  • Do not scrape, mirror or bulk-download the question bank.
  • Do not use the AI Doubt Solver to submit non-academic prompts (abuse, spam, or content that violates local law).
  • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or break authentication.
  • Live contests are a “fair play” zone — collusion, multiple accounts, or automated tools will result in disqualification.

4. Payments & refunds

Payments are processed by Razorpay (a PCI-DSS Level 1 gateway). All payments — subscriptions, live-contest entries, per-test unlocks and Josh Pass — are final and non-refundable once the corresponding unlock is delivered. If a technical failure prevents delivery (e.g. Razorpay charges you but no unlock appears in your account within 30 minutes), please contact us and we will manually reconcile.

5. Content ownership

All AI-generated MCQs, explanations and translations produced by MockMaster are the intellectual property of the platform. You retain ownership of any personal notes or images you upload to the Doubt Solver. By submitting a doubt you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to process it through an AI provider for the sole purpose of producing an answer.

6. Third-party services

MockMaster integrates with a small set of third-party providers: Razorpay (payments), Google AdSense (advertising on free-tier pages), Gemini / OpenAI-family LLMs (question generation and doubt solving), and PostHog (product analytics). Their respective terms apply when you interact with their features.

7. Advertising

The free tier of MockMaster is monetised via Google AdSense. Ads may be personalised based on your prior browsing (see our Privacy Policy for opt-out steps). We deliberately disable ads on exam and live-contest pages so ads never interrupt an in-progress test. Paid subscribers see no ads at all.

8. Availability & changes

We aim for high uptime but cannot guarantee 100% availability — a solo operator has no formal SLA. Server maintenance, cold-start LLM warm-ups and third-party outages can occasionally interrupt access. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice, and to update these Terms; material changes will be highlighted with an in-app banner.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, MockMaster is provided as-is without warranties. We are not liable for exam outcomes, grades, admissions decisions or any consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Your maximum recoverable claim is capped at the total amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India.

11. Contact

Questions, complaints, DMCA / IP notices, or payment reconciliation requests can be sent via the support@mockmaster.app mailbox. We aim to respond within 3 business days.
